Public Forum Writing

The beautiful thing about writing is that there are always people who are willing to help you get to where you need to go if you know where to look for them. The internet is an ever growing being which develops more and more resources everyday. The internet is home to plenty of public forums that cater to the writers’ needs and serve as a place for writes to connect with other writers and collaborate of the trade that they all love.

Websites like reddit.com, Scribophile.com, and Writingforums.net provide writers with specific forums for writers to practice their craft. They each provide places for those who want to write horror, or romance, general fiction or poetry so that people only surround themselves with those who share common literary interests. People often use these forums as a place to get their initial ideas, or beginnings to their major works out on paper, so to speak, to get other people’s feedback and gage wether or not they should continue with their ideas.

Not only is it a place for writers to get their names out there, it also allows people to advertise their services when it comes to editing or cover art creating. One thing that people are often looking for when they post to a public forum is feed back on their work, and for someone to go through it with a fine toothed comb and tell them what works and what needs to be changed. There are always people on these sites willing to supply their services of editing for a price. Although these freelance editors do charge for their time and effort, they often offer to edit anywhere between 500-1000 word for free as a way to procure a new client.

Public forums are a good way to meet and interact with new people who share the same love of writing as you do.
