Why Books Become Successful By John Green

I thought I would share a Tumblr post that John Green reblogged and added content or advice to. I found it very insightful for anyone that is going to write a book. It has a full layout of why a book becomes successful! It is an entire post about  the book publishing world! Green thinks that it is not the book itself that makes is popular or not. You want to find the books ideal readers and book the book in their hands. You want to encourage them to share it with friends or family and hope that they do. The Original post by green answer questions about how The Fault in Our Stars became so popular. Were it makes a statement that TFiOS did not become popular or successful because he was famous on the Internet.

It leads down to more than just that. It is the word of mouth, publicity and marketing efforts that can help make a book become a best seller. But even then the book can fail.

Jenniferlynnbarnes  uses a model that she created using the original post to lay out the how or why a book becomes a best seller.
